Archbishop Dr. Stephen Njenga, based in Seattle, Washington, is the founder of Northwest International Christian Seminary. He is also the managing director of One Word Digital Media. He has a good track record in civic & social organization industry. He is skilled in K-12 education, literary, classroom management, lesson planning and educational development. The man of the cloth is also the governor of Diaspora National Assembly devolved Western States.
Here is his story as told by WoK.
Background and Education
The archbishop is originally from Murang’a. In 2002, he secured a scholarship to Copenhagen Bible School. He returned to Kenya in 2005 where he taught before heading to Botswana. He was unable to get his desired job and came back to the country. Not one to give up, he returned to Botswana and taught for five years. Then came the opportunity for him to go to Mississippi.
After arriving in the US, he pursued a Bachelor’s of arts in Biblical Studies and a Doctorate degree in Philosophy from Dayspring Christian University in Mississippi. He was posted to Arizona but requested a transfer to Washington whose Environment he found more conducive.
Entrepreneurship
In an interview on Chams Media, Archbishop Dr. Stephen Njenga said the desire to build a good reputation and become a force of good in the society is what inspired him to be an entrepreneur.
As an entrepreneur, he runs several business which include:
One Word Digital Media which has a team of 15 presenters whose aim is to preach the word. He has a branch of the company in Phoenix, Arizona. They stream services via YouTube and Facebook where they not only spread the word but also tackle issues affecting the community.
Njenga also heads Home Aide Training Center. This is a company that trains health professionals who work in agencies, and assisted living. He has also gone through training so as to become a fully fledged tutor with the requisite qualifications. He has since trained 3,000 students in the healthcare industry.
The other company is Quickink Notary services which certifies documents. He also runs an African supermarket that sells goods imported from Kenya, such as, Unga, Blueband, kunde and managu.
The entrepreneur also runs Quicklink Student exchange program which helps Kenyans get scholarships to study and work in the US.
The latest project in his portfolio is Living Independent Adult Family Home. He bought a house and was issued with a license to run a family home.
