Deputy President William Ruto-led political party, United Democratic Alliance (UDA) acquired a commercial property along Ngong’ Road.
The commercial property which was linked to Edulink International College was acquired to serve as UDA’s headquarters.
Following the acquisition of the property, renovations began as the party prepared to unveil and move into the building.
UDA Communications Director Wanjohi Githae said the new headquarters will host offices for the party secretariat that is charged with the responsibility or running the day-to-day affairs of the party.
He also noted that the party will be used as the UDA offices moving forward.
UDA was registered in December 2020 after the Registrar of Political Parties through a Gazette Notice announced that Party of Development and Reforms (PDR) had changed its name to United Democratic Alliance and the symbol would be a wheelbarrow.
After its registration, UDA unveiled its ‘Hustler Centre’ offices in Kilimani, Nairobi.
In October 2021, the party announced 31 officials to run its affairs, naming former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama as its chair and Veronica Maina as the Secretary-General.
