She is a Kenyan commercial model, digital influencer, and an award-winning actress. You probably know her as Trisha Khalid, but her real name is Fosi Mplole Hamis.

From being raised by a single mother to a successful career in the entertainment industry, this is her journey as told by WoK:

Background

Trisha was born on 31 December 1994 in the coastal region of Mombasa as the youngest of six siblings. Sadly, her father died while she was still young, so she was raised by her mother.

From a young age, she showed a keen interest in the world of fashion and entertainment, particularly modelling and acting.

For her education, she attended the Star of the Sea Primary School and later the Star of the Sea Secondary School situated near Mombasa Town, in the Kisauni Constituency of Mombasa County.

In college, she studied to work as a cabin crew. But fate had other plans for her.

Modelling

With her captivating presence and striking looks, Trisha, despite describing herself as an introvert, found herself naturally drawn into the world of modeling.

This saw her gracing the runways of various fashion events, featuring in high-profile ad campaigns and mingling with renowned fashion designers.

Prior to her fame, she used to do funny skits on Tik Tok. She went viral over a Tafuta mtu akushike TikTok skit when she sent her followers into a frenzy with her trademark ‘nyash’.

However, contrary to popular belief, including being accused of undergoing plastic surgery, Trisha insists that her curves and derriere are natural, attributing them to family genetics.

However, she supplements her curves by working out.

Acting career

Trisha gained fame after her starring role in the Maisha Magic East telenovela Kovu, where she played the role of actress Ruby.

Unlike many actors who face struggles at the beginning of their careers, Trisha’s journey was remarkably smooth.

In a revealing interview with Nation in 2021, she disclosed that it was none other than Citizen TV’s Lulu Hassan who approached her with an invitation to play Ruby in “Kovu.”

She was however hesitant and initially turned it down, but Lulu encouraged her.

She later admitted that accepting the role was the best decision of her life. It led to her nomination as the best lead actress in the 2020 Kalasha Awards.

She is currently playing the role of Trisha in the telenovela show Becky on Citizen TV.

Love life

Trisha’s personal life has garnered significant attention from the media.

In 2022, she made headlines when blogger Edgar Obare exposed her alleged relationship with a prominent Mombasa government employee.

Rumors suggested that the employee had a family, making Trisha the ‘side chick.’ At another point, there were whispers of a romantic connection between her and former Mombasa governor Hassan Joho.

However, in later interviews, the voluptuous actress encouraged younger girls to shun dating older men for financial gain, saying it is best if they worked hard for themselves.

Business

Besides her acting career, Trisha has proven herself as a successful entrepreneur. Online sources estimate her net worth to be around $ 300,000.

In Bamburi, she owns a salon called Tees Beauty Salon. She is also the proud owner of Trendy Collection, an online boutique.

Aside from that, she is a highly sought-after video vixen and a brand influencer.

As a socialite-cum actor, she is one of the most followed Tiktokers in Kenya, boasting over 2.2 million followers. On Instagram, she boasts over 670,000 followers.

Generally, most of her income comes from her acting career, salon business, brand endorsements, fan gifts, and endorsement fees.
