Wambugu Apples Unveil Cutting Edge Packaging Machines They Aquired

Peter Wambugu become famous after introducing the unique Wambugu apple variety.

Recently his daughter, Catherine Wambugu unveiled cutting-edge packaging and sorting machines they acquired.

In a post on her Facebook page, Catherine said the machine has 8 tonnes per hour packaging ability to meet the growing demand of the Wambugu apple market.

The machine will sort and grade apples, and peaches for local local and international markets.

“And to crown the day, a cutting-edge packaging and sorting machine with an 8 tonnes per hour packaging ability to meet the growing demand of the Wambugu apple market,”

“This machine will sort and grade apples, avocados and peach fruits for local and international markets. Therefore, I welcome all farmers in the fruit industry to venture into wambugu apple farming to meet consumer demands globally. Karibuni wambugu apple,” she posted.

 

The unveiling of the machines came during the launch of Wambugu Apples Grading and Packing Warehouse at the Infinity Industrial Park- Off the Eastern Bypass.

The facility is the first of its kind in Kenya.

Recently WoK reported how Peter Wambugu turned down KSh 30 million from a white man who wanted to take control of Wambugu Apples.

He said he was not going to sell his idea just like Esau in the Bible sold his birthright.

Peter was vindicated later as now Wambugu apples are worth billions and his children have joined in the business.
