Located a few kilometers from Machakos Town, the luxurious hotel is owned by Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua and his wife Lilian Ng’ang’a.

The hotel which is derived from the couple’s first name initials, began operations on July 24, 2020. During this Covid-19 period, the hotel operates for 12 hours from 8 am to 8 pm.

A&L hotel has a number of amenities including a restaurant, a bar and a garden. It boasts family rooms which are mounted with television sets. The property also provides guests with a terrace.

Its services in summary include: 24-hour front desk, 24-hour security, Bar, Family rooms, Free parking, Free WiFi, Garden, Internet services, Meeting/banquet facilities, Non-smoking rooms, On-site parking, Pets allowed, Private parking, Restaurant, Room service, Terrace, and WiFi available in all areas.

A night at the hotel costs Ksh11,902 per room.

Mutua has often maintained that he made his millions before he debuted into politics in 2013. The governor made a name for himself in the country’s film industry, having produced the crime series “Cobra Squad”.

Nairobi Safari Club

Nairobi Safari Club is a five-star hotel located within the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD), a towering building at the intersect of Muindi Mbingu Street and University Way.

The hotel began operations in 1984, and the building has been a distinctive feature of Nairobi City’s landscape for decades. It is owned by former Kiambaa MP Stanley Githunguri.

The hotel offers breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Its patrons also get to experience the serene work space in the rooms which allow for meetings, forums, exhibitions and much more while offering state of the art conferencing facilities.

The hotel is a recipient of the Golden Award by the Architectural Association of Kenya for excellence in architecture.

The hotel’s main restaurant, The Safari Restaurant won 2nd Runners up in the ‘Best Dessert Experience in a Hotel’ in the Chef Delights Awards in 2012.

Delta Hotel

Bienvenue Delta Hotel is located at Eldama Ravine Off Peponi Road, within the Nairobi CBD. The hotel is owned by former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu.

The establishment features a shared lounge, restaurant and accommodation. The property is located 800 metres from Nairobi National Museum and a 12-minute walk from Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC).

Azuri Restaurant & Café
