Ryan Mwenda ‘Simba’ Biography, Age, Education And Career

Ryan Mwenda is a young talented actor, comedian, public speaker and master of ceremony. The witty boy has had the opportunity to perform in some of the biggest stages in Kenya including addressing a function graced by the president of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta. When he opens his mouth, the audience can’t help but be impressed with the talent oozing from him. 

His talent and way of expression has enabled him rub shoulders with some of the big names in the Kenyan political arena like the president, former Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko, Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i to Nairobi senator Johnston Sakaja.  

Age

Ryan was born in 2008 and is currently 13-years-old. 

Education

The talented child star attends Riara Springs Academy. The school is located at Imara Daima off Mombasa road and offers a serene learning environment for both girls and boys. 

Career 

In 2016, Ryan stole the show during the launch of the Jubilee party manifesto. His speech at the event wowed many and he was honored by president Uhuru Kenyatta who stood to hug him. Pictures of the hug spread across the internet and he was the talk of town for a while.

After the Jubilee address, his star continued to shine brightly as he was spotted by one of the biggest comedy names in the industry, Daniel Ndambuki, aka Churchill. He got the chance to perform at Churchill Show and he did not disappoint at all. His jokes cut across all age groups and left the audience in stitches.

These opportunities gave him a chance to grow as a creative and he gained fans a long the way. In 2021, he got the opportunity to take part in the Citizen TV drama Zora. He executes his role well and continues to warm the hearts of many Kenyans who tune in to watch the program. In the TV series, he plays the role of a spoilt child named Simba and through this program he gets to share the stage with veteran actors, such as, Sarah Hassan, Robert Agengo and Jackie Matubia, a chance many can only dream of. Despite being very stubborn in the series, he is always ready to stand up for his mother who is in an abusive marriage. 

When the world was rocked by the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic, thousands came out to sensitise the masses about social distance and the importance of washing hands with soap and running water. He too took the opportunity to add his voice by creating a creative piece urging people to maintain sanitation and maintain social distance in public places.
