Peponi School ranks among the top ten most expensive international schools in the Kenya. The super wealthy enroll their children in this exclusive school that charges upto a million shillings in fees. Learners who have patronized the ‘hallowed’ grounds of Peponi School include President Uhuru Kenyatta’s son, Muhoho and Royal Media managing director son. And it was expected Muhoho to school at Peponi given that they own the school. The institution adopts IGCSE system which is preferred by the elite who find the 8-4-4 system sub-standard.

As indicated on the introduction bit of this article, Peponi School is owned by the Kenyatta family. And to know this is a serious school, the headmaster is an expatriate. The multi-cultural school is situated at the First family Gicheha farm in Ruiru.

School Curriculum

According to Peponi website, the school offers curriculum “based on the framework provided by the British National Curriculum and the demands of the Common Entrance (CE) syllabus for preparatory schools. Children study Mathematics, English, History, Geography, Kiswahili, Science, Drama, Art, Design Technology, Computing, Music, PE, Swimming, French (from Year 3), Spanish or Latin (from Year 6)”.

School Fees
This is where the rubber meets the road. To enroll your child in this school you must be loaded as the figures below will attest.
First time students pay a staggering Sh645,000 admission fee and another Sh983,400 is charged per term for boarders making it a total of Sh1.6 million, an equivalent to a quarter an acre in Joska.
