Flamboyant city lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has disclosed that his wife works at home despite having a first class degree holder in Information Technology.

In an interview on Churchill Show, the lawyer disclosed that he met his wife after coming back to the country from the United States where he was studying.

The two stayed together until the birth of their first child when his wife flew to the United Kingdom to study at Middlesex University.

Upon completion of her education, she flew back to the country and Ahmednasir asked to work from home because they needed someone to be at home.

The lawyer clarified that she works effectively remotely and she is well paid.

“She went to a university in England and studied IT and also got a First Class. But I told her that she would not work because we need someone to work at home. Ever since, she works at home, she is full time employed,” he said.

The couple has four children together; a son and three daughters.

Ahmednasir is currently a Senior Counsel and Chairman of Al-Nur Media Africa. He is also a publisher of the Nairobi Law Monthly Magazine.

From 2003 to 2005, the lawyer was the chairman of the Law Society of Kenya and later on nominated to serve as the society’s representative to the Judicial Service Commission until he lost the position in 2013.

The ax fell from the President Kenyatta who suspended the flamboyant lawyer together with five other JSC commissioners.

After his stint at LSK, the lawyer retreated to private legal practice offering his services to prominent clients in the Kenyan law courts.

In an interview appearing on Business Daily, the Grand Mullah, as he is popularly known, told Jackson Biko why he charges his clients an arm and a leg.

“I take cases for two reasons: Because the fee is good. You know, I was taught by the late Mutula Kilonzo in the School of Law in early 1990s and he said the more you charge a client, the more he loves you. I find that to be so true,” he said.

The lawyer also invests resources into various ventures including insurance, banking, and real estate.
