Mombasa Go-Kart is a family amusement park located along Mombasa-Malindi Road, 1.5 km from hotel Whitesands. A majority of the visitors who grace the establishment go for go-kart racing and paintball games.

Karting, called Go-Kart or Kart, is a track racing event with small rear engined, four-wheeled cars. It is considered as the little brother of track races. Karting is exploding in popularity everywhere around the world, and represents one of the best form of amateur racing to become involved in.

The Mombasa Go-Kart boasts a 1500ft concrete track, Fourteen Swiss made 200ccm karts, Floodlit for night races, and a Computer timing and reporting system.

Before one can kart at the facility, s/he must be at least 10 years old and at least 54 inches (1.47 meters) tall to race at full speed. For younger or shorter kids, the maximum speed is about 10km/h. Helmets are mandatory and are available at no charge for your use. They provide shoes and overalls, also at no charge.

Visitors who visit the Mombasa Go-Kart also get to play the paintball fury. Paintball has become recognized as one of the world’s most exciting outdoor participation sports. It is played in over 40 countries around the world by millions of men and women of all ages and lifestyles.

There are many variations to the game, all of which are fun and exhilarating. The game most commonly played is “Capture the flag”. This game involves teams trying to capture a flag and bring it to the opponents base without being shot.

Paintball is an extreme sport that gives you a high Adrenalin rush without the risk of serious injury.

For one hour playing paintball, visitors are charged Ksh1500 (including 100 bullets). Extra bullets at Ksh10 per bullet, minimum 20 bullets. Target shooting at Ksh10 per bullet, minimum 20 bullets.

Archery tag at Mombasa Go-Kart – Visitors are also treated to a game of archery tag the “Hunger Games”-way. The game is played in teams of two. The aim of the game is to eliminate all the other teams.

When somebody gets hit anywhere on his body or even on his bow he is considered dead. He then shouts “dead” and takes his cap off (so anyone sees that he is dead). Every player has 3 lives. You got a life ring for every life. So when you are shot, you take the cap off and go and throw one of your life-rings in the “life-basket”. You then leave quickly the combat ring (tires ring). As soon as you are outside, and if you still have a life ring remaining, you are back in the game. Put your cap on and continue.

When all your lives are gone, you are out of the game. But you are allowed to collect lives from the “life-bucket”. You can even share lives with your team partner. Every player has initially 3 arrows. When you are out of arrows you have to collect arrows. You can collect as many as you want and can also share them with your team partner.

Rules:
1) No shooting or collecting life-rings or arrows when you are dead.
2) No leaving the combat area while alive and no surrender.
