Education

Like most Kenyans, Georgie is in a career that is different from what he studied in university.

Interestingly, Georgie studied actuarial science at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). After campus, he worked in the accounts department at the Ministry of Housing.

Georgie was informed of a business opportunity in Rwanda by a friend and he grabbed it. It was a logistics company under Tele10 and he went to work there. Years later he was able to get into CNBC and his career in business journalism began.

Living large

Georgie is not shy about his achievements. He always reminds his audience and followers on social media that hard work and determination got him to where he is. Having worked in BBC and other media stations in East Africa, Georgie has been able to build a strong social network and friends.

Earlier this month, he hosted a party for his birthday, one that was described by attendants and social media followers as nothing short of a festival.

To mark his birthday, Georgie gifted himself a new Audi S-Line. The elated journalist shared a photo online saying, “The S-Line! Finally! Birthday gift for myself for what’s been such a year. Super grateful, and excited for what’s ahead!”
