Most of these media personalities work in the mainstream media, platforms that have built their brands and gave them fame.
With fame and attention, these personalities have had to work on their appearances and go for skin-care routines that maintain their flawless skin despite their age.
WoK compiled a list of Kenyan media personalities in their late 30s but never seem to age.
Janet Mbugua
Born on January 11, 1984, Janet Mbugua is a renowned media personality and woman rights activist.
As a news anchor, Mbugua is known to have served in KTN in her earlier year of her career and later Citizen TV for several years, before she announced her retirement from the media industry.
She is also the co-founder of Inua Dada, an organization that works to empower girls and young women through education and leadership development.
Victoria Rubadiri
Vicky Rubadiri was born on January 28, 1987 in Nairobi. She currently works at Citizen TV as a news anchor.
Prior to being a TV anchor, she worked in Public relations in New York State and as a radio presenter in Capital FM in Nairobi.
In 2020, she won the BBC World News Komla Dumor Award which was created to honour Komla Dumor, a presenter for BBC World News, who died suddenly aged 41 in 2014.
Yvonne Okwara
The Citizen TV news anchor and Editor in charge of Research and Planning was born some 39 years ago in Nairobi, Kenya.
Yvonne Okwara started her career in journalism at KBC where she hosted a children variety show before joining QFM in 2018.
In 2012, she joined KTN on a five-year contract assignment after which she join Citizen TV as a prime-time news anchor.
Anne Kiguta
Anne Kiguta was born on November 21, 1984.
The media personality was working as a talkshow host for Mediamax-owned TV station, K24 TV before she exited under unclear circumstances.
Kiguta worked at Hope FM between 2003 and 2006 before moving to Citizen TV in 2013 as Group Digital Manager and Senior Anchor.
Following his exit from Citizen TV, she set up a consultancy firm and produced a weekly show dubbed The Punchline which aired on K24 TV.
Lulu Hassan
Lulu Hassan was born on April 24, 1986.
The media personality works as Swahili news anchor for Citizen TV where she hosts Citizen Nipashe Wikendi alongside her husband, Rashid Abdalla.
Lulu started her media career at Radio Salaam in 2008 before landing a job in KTN after two of KTN’s Swahili news anchors left for maternity leave.
She worked at KTN for years befoee she was poached by Royal Media Services.
Talia Oyando
Talia Oyando, a celebrated TV host and radio presenter, was born on February 26, 1984.
The media personality is currently hosting One Love show on Citizen TV alongside her co-host, Coco Sobo.
Oyando previously hosted a morning show on Homeboyz Radio dubbed, The Juice.
