Newstead Hotel: Inside Pastor James Ng’ang’a’s 4-star Hotel That He Is Selling For Ksh 800 Million

Neno Evangelist Pastor James Ng’ang’a is the owner of Newstead Hotel, formerly known as the Sunny Hill Hotel.

Located in Naivasha, along the Nairobi- Nakuru Highway, the hotel was launched in 2016 in an event graced by influential leaders.

Ng’ang’a is currently selling the hotel for Ksh 800 million to raise funds to expand his ministry to the United States.

Newstead Hotel Background

The Hotel is located some 9.4 kilometers from Naivasha Town.

They offer among other services free WiFi, free parking, pool and wellness, food and drinks, transport and cleaning services.

The 4-star hotel is an ideal location for outings, family reunions and business conferences among other activities.

They have several rooms options including executive room, single room, basic double room and basic single room.

The rooms also include a deluxe room which has a private bathroom and a family room that has one Queen bed and a twin bed.

All 70 individually decorated rooms offer thoughtful touches such as 24-hour room service, as well as amenities like late night room service and safes.

The hotel is 45 minutes away from Hell’s Gate National Park – Elsa Gate and 30 minutes away from Mt. Longonot National Park.

It nears Lake Naivasha which is 15 minutes away and Kenya Wildlife Service Training Institute which is just 4 minutes away.

Guests also enjoy features like an outdoor pool, a 24-hour gym, and free WiFi in public areas within the hotel establishment.

There’s also an airport shuttle which is on call 24 hours for Ksh 10,000 per vehicle one-way. Front-desk staff are on standing by 24 hours to assist guests with any requests.

Other additional amenities include a conference space, a 24-hour business center and a terrace.

Sale

Speaking with Nairobi News, Ng’ang’a disclosed that the church is up for sale for Ksh 800 million, negotiable.

He noted that he is seeking funds to establish a church in the United States, and it will cost him Ksh 600 million.

“That is why I am selling the hotel so that I can get enough money to finance the project,” he said.

Ng’ang’a also disclosed plans to relocate to the US with his family, adding that his wife recently gave birth there.

“That is why I have been visiting America many times, to prepare the ground. My wife has been in America since she recently gave birth,” he said.
