Kenyan social media personality Shakilla Amin was on Wednesday deported from Turkey where she has been holidaying.

The socialite shared the news of her deportation in a series of posts on her Instagram stories.

Shakilla shared a photo while in the Visa Violation Department, noting that she was also fined Ksh 62,300.

Other than the fine, she was handed a two-month ban.

“That’s how I lost $450 and [handed] two-month ban in Turkey due to an overstay of two months,” Shakilla wrote.

Born 2001, the controversial socialite was born in Jamhuri Estate, and she is the firstborn in a family of three children.

In an interview with Kamene Goro on Jalang’o TV, she said she loves the mum more than her dad because he is strict.

Shakia said her mother is her best friend and she always consults her before doing anything or even posting pictures.

Scandals

She came into the limelight in 2020 after claiming she had an affair with top Kenyan celebrities including footballer Victor Wanyama.

Shakilla also claimed that she had slept with among other celebrities singer Otile Brown and rapper Khaligraph Jones.

While making the accusations that sparked mixed reactions, Shakilla said Wanyama offered Ksh 700,000 to sleep with her.

However, following the claims, footballer took legal action against the then 19-year-old socialite and blogger Arthur Nyongesa, otherwise known as Xtian Dela.

In a demand letter, Wanyama accused the two of scandalizing his good name and reputation.

“Such malicious, scandalising, and false assertions about my name and character are unacceptable to me, my family, and institutions who have placed great trust in me

“Consequently, and with the blessing of my management team, I have instructed my legal team to pursue all legal remedies available to me and to which I have the unreserved right to seek,” the letter read.

Shakilla was forced to apologize over the same.

Khaligraph Jones on the other hand gave the socialite a two-hour ultimatum to retract her statement and apologize.

On his Instagram, the rapper posted, “ I have given you two hours to retract the statement and apologize because I have never met you and I don’t even know who you are.”

She apologized.

The scandal kicked off her career and she has, in the long run, brush shoulders with among other top celebrities Andrew Kibe and Tanzanian model Calisah.

In an online feud pitting Kibe, she accused the former Kiss FM presenter of trash-talking her in public while hitting on her secretly.

“Y’all are simps, this is the same guy talking trash about me on YouTube but wanna hit on my DMs,” Shakilla wrote.

In March 2023, she was engaged in yet another social media outburst with popular Tanzanian model Calisah.

The whole drama started when Shakilla wrote on her Instagram that she charges Ksh 6,612 to reply to messages.

Calisah was amused by Shakilla’s claim and went on to expose how the Kenyan socialite was desperately sending him DMs.

In one of her DMs to Calisah, Shakilla told him how she pleasures herself in the bathroom after looking at his photos.

Responding to Calisah, she claimed to have slept with the Tanzanian model but stressed that she did not enjoy the experience one bit.

Shakilla claimed that he is not ‘well endowed’ and as such, she didn’t feel a thing when they slept together.
