The success story of Eve Mungai and her husband Trevor has been an inspiration to many young people in Kenya.

The couple took the digital media by storm in 2020 and have been growing in leaps and bounds ever since. In a recent Questions and Answers (Q&A) session with his fans on Instagram, Director Trevor revealed that they earn up to Ksh Ksh13.6 million.

Asked how much he earns per year by an inquisitive fan, he replied

I don’t know exactly how much but that (Ksh13.6 million) was last year,” he replied.

He went on to clear the air on reports that his wife earns more than him-

“Is it true Eve Mungai earns more than you?” Trevor was asked.

In a long reply, the co-founder/CFF of Mungai Eve Media online media stated he makes Ksh800,000 per month, same as his wife.

As employees of Mungai Eve Media, my wife and I both receive a monthly salary of 800k. Each! Money that is generated through YouTube instream ads and Facebook. Even if angekua anaearn more than me to me it’s not an issue for us”, he stated.

We believe in equal opportunities and value each value each other’s contributions to our family and the company. Our focus is together on working as a team, supporting and empowering each other to achieve our goals. We believe that financial success should not be limited by gender, and we embrace the equal earning potential that exists in our relationship,” read his reply.

Seemingly unhinged, Trevor moved to share his MPesa transactions to curious fans just to confirm that indeed money wasn’t much of an issue.

His spend on the month of August alone was Ksh1.1 million.

Eve Mungai's husband also shared receipts showing they spent Ksh1.1 million in the month of August alone.

Mungai Eve Media has 14 employees and Trevor’s role is to oversee the overall strategic direction of the company, managing day-to-day operations, building and leading a talented team, fostering partnerships and ensuring the company’s growth and success in the ever-evolving digital media landscape.

So how do they manage to make millions every year?

According to Trevor, ” they major in exclusive interviews that lead to a higher CPM and generate more revenue by providing unique content, attracting a larger audience, appealing to premium advertisers, improving audience targeting, and creating sponsorship opportunities”
