Silas Koech is a man who has persevered through the challenges life has thrown at him.
Koech from the Cheptiret area, Uasin Gishu County rose From a mkokoteni pusher to a bodaboda operator.
His dreams became reality after he graduated from training as a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldier.
According to reports, Koech managed to join the military training courtesy of Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim.
“A heartwarming story of Silas Koech from Cheptiret area, Uasin Gishu county who rose From mkokoteni rider to bodaboda operator, and now a KDF officer courtesy of Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim. This is indeed a real bottom-up,” Victor Rotich said.
