Rapper Shekina Karen has been left in anguish after losing her house.

The rapper said she is now homeless after watching a bulldozer bring her home down.

Karen shared videos of a bulldozer bringing down a building with the rapper holding a hammer and trying to salvage a column from the debris.

The rapper joked she now needs a husband to make her life comfortable and secure.

“Saddest day of my life. Rest in peace my home, we loved you but the government loved you more,”

“Your government has decided to make me homeless..uzuri nilitoa chuma za column nikauza, siezi enda hasara pande zote otherwise Maji ni nzito kuliko majiMnitafutie Mzee nireplace shamba ya mamangu, she didn’t deserve it,” she posted.

According to Shekina Karen, the land was owned by her mother and it broke her heart to see the government demolish the property.

The rapper’s home was among those marked for demolition for being on riparian land.

Several houses around Nairobi in areas marked as riparian have been brought down as a safety precaution for Kenyans.

Recently, rapper Julius Owino, well known as Juliani, has revealed that his project, Dandora Hip Hop City, has been demolished.

The demolition was carried out by the government in the ongoing process of reclaiming riparian land in Nairobi County.

Dandora Hip Hop City is a hub for the youth and women to showcase and grow their talents.

Juliani and Dandora Hip Hop City shared photos and videos of the demolition on social media.
