Flashy City Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi is a household name in Kenya’s legal corridors. The senior counsel is known for his kingly lifestyle hence the nickname ‘Grand Mullah”.

The lawyer is known to be in the league of the haves in the country and has been publicly spotted flaunting or driving some of the most expensive cars.

Ahmednasir reportedly makes most of his money from his legal practice where he is known to have wealthy and high-profile clients.

The lawyer’s ‘rags to riches’ story is known to the public. He started out from a sparsely populated neighborhood in Mandera County.

Ahmednasir went to Mandera Primary School, Nairobi School and then the University of Nairobi where he studied law. He has been on several media stations and he is not afraid to show off.

Bentley Bentayga

The outspoken lawyer was the talk of the town in 2018 when reports emerged that he had spent Ksh40 million on a Bentley Bentyaga.

According to the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) the Bentley costs between Ksh30 million and Ksh51 million.

Porsche Cayenne, Toyota Land Cruiser and Land Rover Discovery

Grand Mullah also owns several other cars including a Porsche Cayenne, a Toyota Land Cruiser, and a Land Rover Discovery.

“My first car was a Suzuki Vitara, which I bought two years after I started my law firm. I then bought a BMW from the Mashariki Showroom.

“I drive a Porshe Cayenne, Toyota Land Cruiser, and Land Rover Discovery. I will never drive a Mercedes Benz or Range rover. I’m never into what other people like,” he disclosed in a past interview with Daily Nation.

The Porsche Cayenne is considered one of the most comfortable SUVs in the world. A new one could set you back in excess of Ksh10 million, while a second hand would cost around Ksh5 million.
According to online sources the Toyota Land Cruiser costs approximately Ksh5 million as is the Land Rover Discovery.

Brioni suits

Ahmednasir boasts an expensive closet judging by the several times he has appeared in public and on JKLive dressed in high-end designer clothes, most notably Brioni suits.

In a January 2019 interview with Jeff Koinange, the Senior Counsel bragged about one such suit which he allegedly bought for Ksh1.2 million.

“I have good taste in clothes – suits, shirts, ties, and shoes. All my jeans are and most of my suits are by Brioni. I’m into labels. I shop when I travel and my clothes remind me of where I have been,” he once stated in a Daily Nation interview.

Brioni is a high-end Italian fashion house that is preferred by world leaders among them former US Presidents Donald Trump and George Bush.

Montblanc Pen

Most people consider a pen to be a basic commodity for school-going and working-class citizens, the cheaper the better as long as it works.

Grand Mullah, however, bears a different opinion on that matter. The grander the pen the more sophisticated a public figure appears to be, and that is well articulated in his choice of a genuine Montblanc pen.

According to online sources, the cheapest pen of the above-mentioned brand retails for Ksh 42,000.

Expensive Watch

In an interview with Daily Nation in 2014, Ahmednasir intimated his love for high-end stuff and what is a man without a watch worth an arm and a leg?

“I have never bought a fake in my life. Never! I went to Hong Kong once with a lawyer friend of mine and bought this watch I’m wearing for Ksh 870,000. I live for today, I don’t save money, I don’t care what happens tomorrow. Only God has plans for tomorrow,” he told Jackson Biko regarding an expensive watch he was wearing at the time.
