Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has expressed his gratitude for the enduring loyalty and commitment of his long-time personal assistant, Kamau Migwi, by gifting him with a house.

Kamau who has faithfully served Uhuru for 24 years, received this generous gift as a symbol of appreciation from the former president.

A source familiar with the situation indicated that this gesture was intended to encourage and reward Kamau for his steadfast service throughout the years.

Furthermore, the source emphasized the strong bond between Uhuru and Kamau, pointing out that Kamau’s dedication and dependability were significant factors that motivated Uhuru to bestow this remarkable gift.

“Uhuru Kenyatta gifted his PA for 24 years a house to appreciate him. He has always had a good relationship with Kamau Migwi since the latter has never failed him.

“Migwi has been a dedicated servant. This is what motivated Uhuru to gift him the lovely house,” the source shared.

Uhuru is known to be generous and has offered gifts to a number of people.

For instance, in 2017, Uhuru who was then President delivered a car promise to Igembe South MP John Paul Mwirigi who was then the youngest MP.

During his campaign period, Mwirigi relied on well-wishers to finance his campaigns and his travels were catered for by his supporters.

As an elected MP, he had to get to Nairobi to attend a meeting at Statehouse chaired by President Kenyatta and was given a lift by Tharaka MP George Murugara.

Mwirigi also used public transport from Meru to Nairobi when he attended the parliament orientation for members.

According to Britannica, Uhuru has an estimated net worth of around $500 million, making him one of the country’s wealthiest individuals.

His family’s wealth stems from extensive business interests in sectors like media, banking, tourism, and agriculture, alongside ownership of over 500,000 acres of land in Kenya.

The Kenyatta family has also been linked to offshore companies revealed in the Pandora Papers, which included assets worth millions in tax havens.

Their wealth has sparked discussions about economic inequality in Kenya, where they are among the richest, surpassing the wealth of millions of Kenyans combined.
