LASIK (Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis) is a vision correction surgery for issues such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. It reshapes the cornea using a laser to improve focus on the retina and thereafter improving vision. It is highly successful with majority of patients regaining 20/20 vision within 24 to 48 hours.
