Students across the country are in the process of applying to universities and colleges for an opportunity to pursue their dream career courses. The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (Kuccps) recently opened its portal for applications, allowing for the students to fulfill their career goals.

While a majority will onboard local universities and colleges, a strategic agreement between the Kenyan and German governments allows for academic partnerships between tertiary institutions in the two countries.

Under such agreements, Kenyan students will be able to pursue courses at select local institutions and later bag apprenticeship and employment opportunities in Germany. One of such institutions is the Mount Kenya University (MKU).

MKU has partnered with Germany’s Hochschule Koblenz University of Applied Sciences to offer a Preparatory Certificate Course to meet the growing demand for health workers in Germany. Hochschule Koblenz University of Applied Sciences is the lead partner in this collaboration.
