Celebrity Adigo Digo is a man known for his love of the finer things of life. He is also a fashionista and social media influencer with a substantial number of followers on Instagram and is behind the Obinja TV YouTube channel.
Aside from his flamboyance and penchant for glitz, Adigodigo has carved a creative niche for himself by incorporating his adoring mom in various corporate endorsements. Mostly, Adigodigo records his mother in short comic videos that serve to entertain his followers.
In a recent video, the elderly mother visited a shell petrol station and asked for the attendant to fuel the posh Mercedes-Benz E-class with fuel worth Ksh 70k.
“Fill it with fuel worth seventy thousand. It is unacceptable to travel with a car without fuel. You can get stranded on the way,” she said in Kiswahili accented with dholuo.
However, the matter was taken as a joke given the full tank capacity of the car only consumes around Ksh 9k when refueling.
Even as age is slowly catching up on her, the granny is obviously way ahead her peers, some who are struggling to catch up with modern trends. Seemingly in her 60s, Adigodigo’s mother is minting money from corporate endorsement thanks to her celebrity status.
Corporate Gigs
Adigodigo lights up her mother’s life besides landing major lucrative deals with companies. The mother of 8 has been marketing for Unga Limited, a renowned food processing firm behind the Exe brand. The company also produces animal feeds.
Working like clock work, the duo have also been advertising for Odibets and domestic flight company Renegade Air. The latter explains a recent video in which the granny yet again lighted up the internet by claiming she was boarding a plane to go and pick her phone charger.

Family
The celebrity granny got widowed in 2018. According to Classic FM, she is a mother of 8. One of her son, a renowned actor goes by the name Michael Odera.
Adigodigo Background and expensive wedding
According to an interview with a popular newsroom, the celebrity has built his empire through sheer hard work and obstinate determination. He once eked a living by selling second hand clothes in Mathare slums before he got employed at a boutique. Later on, he managed to open his own shop, Berlin Kouture which is located at Jamia Mall.
Adigodigo went viral in 2020 after he exchanged vows with his lover bird aboard a flying plane. The bride Jean Ojiro was dressed in a cream wedding gown while Adigodigo donned a navy blue suit. The reception of the wedding was held at Ukunda, in Mombasa.
He explained that the multi-million wedding was a way of inspiring fellow youths who are struggling to make ends meet that it was possible to break the glass ceiling.
“I had been planning and saving for the event to also inspire my fellow youth that a long journey begins with one step. I focused on hawking mitumba because while growing up, I didn’t have enough clothes. I wore the same clothes for weeks and had none for special occasions like Christmas,” he said as captured by Capital FM.
