Changes at the apex of KQ was informed by the need to resuscitate the company to profitable. Sebastian Mikosz was brought in as Kenya Airways Group’s managing director and chief executive officer (CEO). Sebastian was to later on be replaced by Allan Kilavuka.
Former Safaricom CEO Michael Joseph was appointed as the airline’s chairman in 2016.
