Langata MP Phelix Odiwuor Khodhe popularly known as Jalang’o has praised musician Bahati and his wife Diana Marua.
The MP said Bahati has raised the bar high in Kenya’s creative industry by having the first reality show on Netflix.
Jalang’o also urged Kenyans to support the couple by watching the show on the streaming service.
“Bahati has raised the bar so high in the creative industry! He becomes the first Kenyan to have a reality show on Netflix with over 200M subs across the globe! Catch the show today as it premiers! Flowers to you Bahati,” Jalang’o said.
On Friday, June 7, Bahati and Diana launched their reality TV show dubbed ‘The Bahati Empire’.
“We Were the First Kenyan Family to have a Reality on National TV (Being Bahati on NTV) and now we make history as the first Kenyan family to have a Reality Show on Netflix. All Glory Goes to our Lord Jesus Christ,” Bahati said.
The new reality TV show revolves around Bahati and his family.
The colourful launch was attended by celebs and politicians like Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and nominated Senator Karen Nyamu.
Kevin Mbuvi, alias Bahati, is a flashy young Kenyan gospel musician.
He has won several awards including the Best Male Artist Groove award.
The dashing musician is a father and is married to Diana Marua. Bahati is a true rags to riches story having grown up in a children’s home after losing his mother.
The celebrated musician made history when he dragged President Uhuru to the stage and went on to sit on his chair.
Over the years, he has gained a massive social media following and rubbed shoulders with the big powerful personalities in Kenya and beyond.
