Betty Kyalo Responds After Her Salon is Put Up For Auction

Former news anchor Betty Kyallo has spoken out after her high end salon Flair by Betty was placed on auction.

The media personality admitted she has given up on the business.

Taking on Instagram, Betty Kyalo blamed the harsh business climate in Kenya for her problems, claiming it was tough to run a business.

“Obviously, running a business in Kenya has become so difficult,” she said.

Betty said she had to to let go of the salon for her peace of mind.

“Landlords don’t want to reduce rent and it uh becomes a huge burden on businesses that are struggling because of the economic slowdown. I let it go.”

“I am happier. I sleep better. My peace of mind is more important than a name. I’m good,” she added.

Betty thanked her fans who reached out to her to show concern and support after news of the auction was reported.

She also revealed opening of After Shave by Flair business that will cater for men.

“Also, after two months of expansion, we reopen Aftershave By Flair. Gentlemen, come through, I’ll be there today” she said.

Keysian Auctioneers said that items at Flair by Betty will be sold by public auction on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

The auction is set to take place at Leakey’s Storage Limited along Lunga-Lunga road in Nairobi.
