Just as Kenyans were convinced that Bradley Marongo held the title of the tallest man in Kenya, a man from Bungoma who bears a striking resemblance to him and matches his towering height has now come into the spotlight.

Isaac Otesa has recently gained attention after it was revealed that he bears an uncanny resemblance to Bradley Marongo, who gained fame for his eight-foot height.

“He works as a boda boda rider in Bungoma county. He came to my shop and and I sold him a motorbike, which he is paying on loan,” said Isaac’s friend, Edwin Orinda in an interview with a local media house.

Though his presence may be intimidating, Orinda portrays him as a gentle giant, warmly welcomed by the local community.

“He is a quiet guy; despite his height, he is very friendly. His clients like him because he is very friendly to people. We are in the process of establishing his real height and weight, which we should be able to do soon enough,” he added.

Though Isaac never went to school and remains uneducated, his determination to provide for his family is unwavering. As a proud husband and father of a newborn son, he works tirelessly to support them.

Orinda firmly stated that Isaac is not related to Marongo, and the two have never even met. Marongo revealed that he comes from Vihiga County, but currently resides in Kangemi, Nairobi where he works as a stage hand better known as a ‘Kamagera’.

He rose to fame when he was pictured participating in the anti-Finance Bill protests in June.

Marongo who goes by the moniker ‘Gen Z Goliath’ is married and is a father of two, and he revealed that he was 27 years old. This was however refuted by his mother who stated that he was 22 years old.

“He was born on April 16, 2002. He is 22 years old, and he doesn’t even have an ID. My second born is 27 years old, not Bradley,” she shared revealing the he was her fourth born.

She explained that she traveled from Vihiga to Nairobi after seeing her son on Citizen TV, which had evoked mixed reactions in her owing to his sudden fame. Further, she was worried about their financial situation, as all her children were unemployed.

She however implored Kenyans to give her son, who works as a tout, a decent job so he can help her and his young family.

“Please help my son with any job. I’m pleading with well-wishers to help us get a parcel of land and build a house for us so that we have a place to call home tusikae homeless,” she added.
