This weekend has been a dream come true for Catherine Wambugu, the ambassador for Wambugu Apples, as she walked the aisle.

Catherine finally said I do as she got married in a colourful wedding ceremony that saw celebrities and business leaders attending.

Catherine got married to the love of her life Matthew Njenga popularly as Njenga farmer at their Laikipia Orchard on Friday, May 31.

Wearing a beautiful white wedding dress Catherine looked stunning as she danced her way to the aisle.

Njenga wore an African-themed white outfit with the couple cutting a Wambugu apple-themed cake.

Among the guests at the ceremony was Ghanaian YouTuber  Wode Maya.

Comedian Terence Creative was the MC at the wedding ceremony and thrilled the guests with his rib-cracking humour.

Catherine expressed her joy with an emotional post on Facebook.

“When I took up Wambugu Apple Farming from my Father (Mr. Wambugu Apple). I was determined to make my father proud. Whilst in that journey I met a gentleman who stood by me, supported the dream and built an empire. The Wambugu Apple Empire,”

“With over a million seedlings sold in Kenya, East Africa and beyond, we are grateful for the milestone we have achieved. Here we are to take our vows of love as a sign of eternal bond, till the end. I, Cate the Ambassador of Wambugu Apple “I picked a good one” and Matthew Njenga ” I Apple absolutely love you” Kate,’

“Wambugu Apple to the world join us in crunching this fruit of love by planting a Wambugu apple tree in your homestead,” she posted.

WoK recently reported how Catherine’s father, Peter Wambugu turned down KSh 30 million.

This was money from a white man who wanted to take control of Wambugu Apples.

He said he was not going to sell his idea just like Esau in the Bible sold his birthright.

Peter was vindicated later as now Wambugu apples are worth billions and his children have joined in the business.
