The KIMC graduate is married to Timothy Kimani, popularly known as Njugush. The two met while they were students at KIMC. She was a first year while her husband was a third year. They started off as friends before gradually entering into serious relationship.

Njugush was not one of those rich students. In fact, there were times he had nothing but she stuck with him through it all and chipped in where she could. The first time she met his family was at his graduation where she attended thinking he would be all alone.  After which, she was invited to their home to celebrate Christmas.

Later, they got married in a colorful ceremony at PCEA Evergreen Runda. The reception was held in the church grounds. They told a section of the media how Njugush lost his job a few months to the wedding but they made do with what they had. They did not have much for the wedding and invited a few people only for a multitude to show up. Despite this, the ceremony was wonderful and full of jubilation and dances. They proceeded for their honeymoon in Mombasa’s Diani Beach Hotel instead of their preferred destination Zanzibar.
