Entrepreneurs are keen on setting up hotels and other businesses in erstwhile ignored counties in Kenya thanks to devolution. To most Kenyans, holidaying was confined to Mombasa and Naivasha but this narrative is being changed by the likes of Ababu Namwamba –who is the current Cabinet Secretary for Sports and Youth Affairs in President William Ruto government.

WoK takes you to a tour of Ches Bay Resort – a multi-million resort owned by ex-Budalangi member of parliament.

Che’s Bay Resort

Che’s Bay Resort is situated on the shores of Lake Victoria offering an amazing view of the largest fresh lake in Africa and the second largest in the world.

It sits in between Singwe and Mwita hills right at the border of Kenya and Uganda. The resort is a perfect destination to unplug from the hustle and bustle of the city.

It is frequented by both foreign tourists and mostly middle and working class Kenyans who are in search of a good time, relaxation and just want to unwind.

The food served at the resort is mouthwatering. Although a little bit expensive, it is worth every penny.

From traditional cuisines, exquisite drinks and international cuisines, this place is simply one of the best getaway destinations in the entire western and nyanza region.

Of course being at the shores of Lake Victoria, Che’s bay offers one of the tastiest fish and other sea foods prepared by the well trained and highly qualified chefs.
