Kenya’s celebrated corporate MC Chris Kirwa has recalled his humble start to life in Nairobi.

Kirwa said he left Nakuru for Nairobi with only a paper bag carrying his clothes.

The MC said before starting his successful events company he had to look for money.

He hustled as an MC and got paid with food.

The popular MC shared that he had to do odd jobs like dancing for tourists to get his daily bread.

“Flashback. This Life left Nakuru with a paper bag of clothes and landed in Nairobi to Look for money not work,”

“From being a dancer pale Bomas of Kenya, filming weddings, emceeing for food, KBC English Service running restaurants like Rangers and Taco Bell, organizing beauty pageantry to finally having a company CateChris Limited. It’s been a Journey. We Thank God.” Kirwa remembered.

Kirwa’s company CateChris Limited is one of the most sought-after in the country and its rise shows the determination and dedication of its founder.

In April, Chris Kirwa shared his take on the reports that the closed Hilton Hotel in Nairobi CBD will be converted into stalls and student hostels.

Kirwa shared his disappointment that a five-star hotel respected worldwide would be hosting stalls.

The MC said Kenya’s event industry had let down the hotel as it needed a modern convention venue.

“A whole 5 5-star hotel ( A brand Name) Respected across the world that should be hosting International Events and Delegates is going to host stalls and Hostels,”

“As THE Events industry we let them down. When I say we need huge modern convention Venues that can host huge numbers of delegates …. The beneficiaries are Hotels like Hilton,” Kirwa said
