The main suspect behind the horrific murder of people found in the Kware dumpsite in Mukuru kwa Njenga, in Embakasi South Constituency, has been arrested.

Police have identified the suspect as Collins Jomaisi Khalisia, from Vihiga County.

The suspect is alleged to have dumped the body of his first victim – his wife – in the quarry in 2022.

Collins, who is 33 years old, was arrested at a club in Nairobi’s Kayole area.

He was found in possession of multiple SIM cards.

Collins is alleged to have killed the victims and wrapped their bodies in polythene bags that were retrieved from the dump site.

The suspect was taken to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters in Kiambu awaiting further police action.

Meanwhile, President William Ruto has spoken on the recent discoveries of bodies dumped in Nairobi’s Kware area.

Speaking on Saturday, July 13 during tree planting at Kaptagat Forest Block, Elgeyo Marakwet County.

Ruto said the perpetrators of the heinous act must be punished and be taken to court.

“In Nairobi, 9 bodies were found in Kware and most of them WERE girls. I have directed the police and related agencies to expedite the investigations,”

“I want to assure Kenyans that the perpetrators in this heinous act must be punished and taken to court because killing a Kenyan is an offence under the Constitution.” Said Ruto.

They urged the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to initiate Investigations.
