Kennedy Odhiambo popularly known as Crazy Kennar, Kenya’s talented comedian and skit maker has announced his relocation to South Africa.

In a post on his social media accounts, Kennar will pursue film studies.

This is seen as a strategy to position himself to conquer the global comedy market.

“Blessed man. A new level of entertainment unlocked, journey with me as I share my life with you as a Local Genius Kenyan creator studying in South Africa, living in Kenya and South Africa while creating content across the world. More content loading,” Crazy Kennar posted.

The comedian had recently landed a lucrative deal as an ambassador for Visit South Africa.

This gave him a chance to brush shoulders with big names like Trevor Noah.

The rise of Kennar comes at a time when he rebranded his content and let go of the original Crazy Kennar skits cast like Yvonne Khisa and Bushra Sakshi.

Other members who were let go are Cynthia Wanjiru and Useful Idiot

The comedian has also ventured into live shows.

The live show named Happy Country was held at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) and became sold out in hours.

Wok found that Crazy Kennar will be studying at Johannesburg’s AFDA School for the Creative Economy.

It’s boasted as an institution for creative leaders, visionaries and artists.

AFDA offers Higher Certificate and Degree programmes that are registered by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

Among its programmes are film, live performance, business and innovation and creative writing.
