Davidson Wakairu Gatuhi is a budding Kenyan politician, businessman and environmental activist.
Bragga, as he is popularly known, has narrowed down his leadership and political ambitions by engaging youths in the country on various projects.

Background, Family & Education
Davidson is the son of Jubilee Party Vice Chairman David Murathe. He was born on June 6, 1992.
On July 11, he celebrated his 29th birthday with close friends and family. He threw an all white, Hawaii-themed party at the Mawe Resort Watamu – Boutique Hotel.
He has a sister by the name, Waturi Wakairu Wamboye who is a research analyst by profession but works as a talent recruitment manager in East Africa for Nova Pioneer, a network of schools that prides itself in developing generations of innovators and leaders.
Details of Davidson’s early education are unavailable, however, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing and Advertising from Marbella International University Centre in Spain.

The young tycoon leads a life away from his father’s shadow and runs his own businesses.

Davidson owns and manages three companies. Two of the companies Davidson Wakairu Gatuhi (DWG) Holdings and DWG Wines, market and promote wines.
He is also an events organiser and owns a company called Czara Events which is under DWG Holdings. The fun loving youth is hoping to revive the events industry in the country and use it to propel his political campaign in 2022.
“Bragga is a guy who loves youth empowerment. The arts and entertainment is something he sees playing a major role in Kenya’s future development. Everything he does is geared towards helping the younger generation be productive and inspired,” a source told the Standard in February.
Philanthropy & Activism
In 2016, Davidson founded a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) dubbed Vijana Amkeni meaning “Youths Rise Up” with an aim to empower youth across the country; politically, socially and economically.
“I saw the need to begin a movement that brings youth together to voice issues and be involved in national affairs. We use social media to mobilise each other,” he said while appearing on Switch TV in 2019.
He also mentors the youth on health and mental well-being. This was as a response to the rising cases of suicides in the country.
The NGO is also big on environmental conservation. They have planted over 250,000 trees in various counties in Kenya and aim to plant 47,000,000 trees by 2022.
During the World Environmental Day in early June this year, he lead his Vijana Amkeni team to Kilifi County where they planted 1,300 trees.
Politics
Davidson is an aspiring politician and has announced his plans to vie for an elective office during the 2022 general elections.
The tycoon was the president of the student’s board at Marbella International University Centre for one year, 2018 to 2019. He was recognised for his leadership and management skills.
Cars
He is known to lead a lavish life and has often been spotted cruising around in expensive machines.
Davidson is reported to own a Mercedes Benz Maybach, and another Mercedes Benz convertible.
