Shree Dinesh Trivedi is the founder and owner of Muranga Forwarders Limited, a leading local logistics company specializing in Clearing & Forwarding, Shipping, and Transportation.
According to the company website, Mr Trivedi established the company in 1989 in Mombasa City, and steered it into one of the largest and most trusted transport and logistics companies in Kenya and the region.
The businessman holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Kundalia College in Rajkot. Before establishing Muranga Forwarders Limited, he had worked in the transport sector for about a decade, gathering valuable experience in the process.
Currently, Mr Trivedi operates the business with the help of his sons, Maulik and Jai.
Maulik graduated with a First Class Honors degree in BSc. Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics. He has contributed significantly to the growth of the company through managing airfreight, government infrastructure logistics projects and the transport arm of the business.
Like his brother, Jai graduated with a First Class Honors degree in BSc. Accounting and Finance from Warwick Business School. He then went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) under a training agreement with PricewaterhouseCoopers in London and become a member of the ICAEW. He has been instrumental in the growth of Muranga Forwarders Ltd (MFL).
The company deals with a range of industrial clients, facilitating a premium service for machinery, raw materials, spare parts and finished goods.
For over three decades, the company has built a strong working relationship with the shipping lines, Port authorities, Customs authorities and Container Freight Stations (CFS) to enable efficient processing of documentation and clearance of cargo from the port and CFS.
MFL’s Nairobi office is in close proximity to the airport to cater for clients’ airfreight requirements. The Transport department is also based in Nairobi, servicing quick delivery and offloading from the port of Mombasa and catering for local cargo delivery imported by air.
