Former K24 TV Anchor Michelle Morgan Promoted to CEO of BM Security

Michelle Morgan, known for her career as a news anchor, is now stepping into the role of CEO at BM Security.

She succeeds Neil Morgan, who held the CEO position for eight years and will now assume the role of chairman at the firm.

“Michelle brings with her over seven years of experience in the security services industry, having previously served as the Executive Director with direct oversight of our technology division, BM Systems,” BM Securities announced.

“During her time in this role, she was instrumental in driving our digital transformation initiatives, positioning the company at the forefront of technological advancements in the security sector.”

Michelle, with a notable background in the media sector, has worked with leading Kenyan media houses such as Royal Media Services, Mediamax Network Limited, and Ebru Africa.

From 2012 to 2014, she served as the lead anchor for the 1PM business news at Citizen TV.

In May 2014, she joined Ebru Africa, where she worked for six months before moving to Mediamax, which operates K24, in a similar role from 2014 to 2017. She then left the media industry to explore other interests, joining BM Security in 2018 as executive director, where she directly oversaw BM Systems, the company’s technology division.

BM Security, officially known as Bob Morgan Services Limited, is a family-owned business established in 1984 by her late father, Bob Morgan, with the goal of delivering high-quality security services to corporate clients.

BM Security is renowned for its professionalism in offering a broad spectrum of security solutions to the corporate, banking, and diplomatic sectors. With 30 years in operation, the company boasts 11 branches across Kenya, including in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret, and Nyeri.

Under Michelle’s leadership, BM Security will maintain its broad range of services, including manned guarding, advanced electronic security systems, cash management, rapid emergency response, and expert consulting. The company is dedicated to leading in security technology and delivering innovative solutions to address the varied needs of its clients.

“I am honoured to be appointed CEO of BM Security. I am excited to build upon the strong foundation that Neil and the team have established and to lead the company into a new era of growth and innovation,” she said.

In addition to leading BM Security, Michelle, alongside her Asian husband Peng Chen, co-founded the popular Alchemist Bar and Restaurant in Westlands on December 31, 2015. This open club and restaurant offers a venue for live events and acoustic performances.
