Former Kesses MP Swarup Mishra is facing an auction of his prime properties.
In a notice seen by WoK, the auction is set for July 2, 2024.
The Eldoret-based Jomuki Auctioneers listed four owned by Mishra and his wife under their Mediheal Group Limited.
The four properties are in Uasin Gishu County and include two acres in Elgon View Estate, 50 acres in Ngeria and land that once hosted his CDF office in Kesses.
“All Interested bidders are requested to view the property and verify the details for themselves as these are not warranted by the Auctioneers or the principals,” the auctioneer notified bidders.
Bidders are also requested to pay KSh 100,000 refundable payment to obtain bidding numbers.
Mishra served as Kesses MP from 2017 but failed to retain it in 2022 after a fallout with President William Ruto.
The politician was born in Orissa, India in 1965, he came to Kenya with his wife Dr Pallavi Mishra in 1997 and settled in Eldoret.
Mishra said he arrived in Kenya with only 500 US dollars which is around KSh 67,300.
Swarup Mishra in a previous interview said his investment in Mediheal Hospitals was over KSh 10 billion.
“As we are talking now our total investment in terms of the number of hospitals and the services we offer is around 100 million dollars which is around KSh10 billion,” he is quoted.
