Kendi Ntwiga is the Global Head of Misrepresentation at Meta, based in Ireland. Meta is the parent company of Facebook, WhatsApp, among other social media platforms. Kendi’s rise to the helm of the corporate ladder is a true definition of success by merit.
She boasts extensive knowledge and experience in strategy formulation and execution in Africa having covered North, West, Southern and Eastern Africa regions in different assignments. Throughout her career, she has proved instrumental in helping various organisations develop strategic digital roadmaps, ultimately enabling them to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.

Kendi has also studied Computer science and is a Santander African Women Foundation Fellow, having studied entrepreneurial leadership at the Babson College, USA.
Kendi began her career at Interswitch where he served for three years from July 2005 to June 2008 in the capacity of Business Development Account Manager.
From June 2008 to July 2011, she was the Territory Sales Manager – Software, East Africa. She was tasked with running the HP Software business in East Africa where she successfully introduced the solutions in the market and ensured a year to year growth. Kendi was responsible for developing the channel strategy for the region and onboarding partners successfully. She was in charge of the marketing plan for the region and ensuring that it is well executed with the help of virtual teams and local partners. She worked with remote technical teams to ensure correct coverage and deployment in the region.
Kendi joined Oracle in 2011, and between August that year to May 2012, she served as the
Applications Territory Manager, Southern Africa. She was responsible for driving Oracle Applications business in Tanzania, Mauritius and Angola. Up to 2016, she was an applications business officer responsible for driving Oracle Applications business in various responsibilities in East and Southern Africa Countries. She briefly served as the sales manager – applications in 2016.
She later joined Check Point Software Technologies in May 2017 and served as the country lead for East and North Africa until July 2019 when she was promoted to the position of GM & Cluster lead, East, West & Central Africa regions.
Kendi joined Microsoft in February 2020 as the country lead and held the position until April 2022.
She is currently the Global Head of Misrepresentation at Meta. She is tasked with leading the Misrepresentation team under community products in Global Operations to drive the operational protocol to scale the organization’s enforcement of the community standards. She works directly with cross functional teams in Engineering and Product Development as well as other teams within Global Operations, to scale projects from inception to launch.
Recognitions
She was recognised as an Emerging Leader in Innovation and Entrepreneurship by the US government through the TechWomen program.
Philanthropy
Kendi is also the founder of She-Goes-Tech, an initiative created with the purpose of mentoring young girls and women who are pursuing STEM careers. Her dedication to mentoring women in the tech space has also seen her lead gender inclusion discussions across different forums, including the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
