Kivutha Kibwana Celebrates Beautiful Wife On His 70th Birthday

Former Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has shared his romantic side by celebrating his beautiful wife.

Kibwana who on Thursday, June 13 was celebrating his 70th birthday revealed his beloved spouse was also seventy.

The former governor shared photos of himself and his wife while sharing a touching Bible verse.

My spouse, Nazi Mwambura, and I have both turned 70—today, June 13, is my birthday.

Kibwana said their life journey has been uplifting and dedicated no matter how tough it has been through the years.

“Our journey, though tough, has been uplifting, and dedicated to family, community, youth, and country. We are grateful to God, our family, relatives, friends, and all who have supported us during our life’s pilgrimage,”

“Please join me, Nazi, and our family in celebrating my 70th birthday and in praying that the Almighty grants us more years of service and strength, free from trouble and sorrow (Psalms 90:10),” Kibwana said.

Kibwana first met his wife Nazi in 1973 through their love for drama.

The former governor loved theatre and Nazi at the time had won the best actress award during the secondary school drama festival.

Kibwana is a professor of Law while his wife is a Counseling Psychologist by profession.

The legal practitioner and long-term politician started his career at the National Convention Executive Council (NCEC) as the spokesperson before he went into Academia.

He held several positions in his time including being Dean of the Law associate professor at UoN.

His political career started in 2002 in his election as Makueni MP. He later became Minister for Environment and Natural Resources and for Lands and Settlements.
