A section of Kenyan celebrities make good money based on the lifestyles they showcase. From expensive locomotives to lavish homes, a majority are never shy to let the world know what their effort has borne.
While the country boasts celebrities from all regions, WoK takes a look at some of the wealthiest from the Luo community and profiles the multi-million mansions owned by some of them.
Here’s a list of the Luo celebrities who own lavish homes.
Akothee
Madam Boss as she is often referred to, has made a name for herself in Kenya’s music industry and business. The mother of five does not shy away from showcasing her lavish lifestyle.
Akothee has some of the most expensive homes among Kenyan celebrities. Her mansion in Rongo, Migori County is definitely one of the most magnificent houses in the county. Surrounded by well-manicured lawns with a classy swimming pool added to the mix, the mansion is a sight to behold.
She also owns another mansion in Mombasa. In a previous social media post, the award-winning musician revealed that her baby daddy, Papa Oyoo bought her the house when he proposed to her on September 17, 2009.
“It was on a day like this on September 17, 2009, on your birthday, that you proposed me and bought me a house behind the then Nakumatt @ KSh 45M. The Mzungu who was selling the house to us thought I was naive and he could steal from us. You loved the home so much that you did not want to let go, the Mzungu still wanted to keep his bedroom upstairs for his holidays,” Akothee wrote on her Instagram on September 17, 2019.
Jalang’o
Felix Odiwour Akodhe, popularly known as Jalang’o, is one of the wealthiest entertainers in Kenya. The newly elected Lang’ata Member of Parliament is among the richest Luo celebrities and boasts one of the most expensive houses among stars in the country.
The politician-cum-media personality boasts a lavish home in Nairobi and another stunning house in his rural home where he grew up.
The house boasts four bedrooms and a vast living room furnished with recliner sofa sets.
Gidi Gidi
The patanisho show co-host owns a stately mansion in Homa Bay county. The celebrity house disabuses the notion that celebrities don’t construct houses in their rural homes.
Khaligraph Jones
Award-winning rapper Brian Omollo alias Khaligraph Jones is easily one of the wealthiest musicians in Kenya. The “Champez” hitmaker in May took to social media to share the progress of his multi-million mansion with his fans.
In the photo, he could be seen with other gentlemen onlooking the construction site as the others went about their work. Earlier, he had shared a complete plan of the house and how it will look like once construction is over.
