Tanzanian singing sensation Mbwana Yusuph Kilungi, popularly known as Mbosso Khan, has not slowed down after quitting Yamoto band.
The songwriter, actor, guitarist, as well as outstanding performer used to be known as Marombosso back then while still with the Yamoto band.

He was raised in Kibiti, Tanzania and moved to Dar Es Salaam shortly after graduating from high school.

Mbosso had a passion for music but lacked the necessary support until when he moved to Dar es Salaam.

When in Dar, he was scouted by Mkubwa Fela where he later joined his production, Mkubwa Fella who brought together the famous Yamoto band that was originally called Mkubwa na Wanawe.

Mbosso’s music career started when he was part of the now separated Tanzanian music group called Wakubwa na Wanawe.

At Yamoto band, Mbosso was with Aslay, Beka Flavour, and Enock Bell.

Yamoto band is known for hit songs like Nitakupwelepweta, Cheza Kwa Madoido, Nisambazie Raha, Su ft. Ruby, Niseme, Dar ya Makonda, Mama, Basi, Wambea ft. Christian Bella and Mpaka Nizikwe.

The band was later disbanded due to irreconcilable differences. This really hit Mbosso hard and made him quit music.

He went back home and continued being a farmer until when WCB record artist Rayvanny followed up on him and brought him back to Dar es Salaam.

He was signed under WCB and as it is a requirement in the WCB, every artiste is required to complete a record before he gets exposed and introduced to the world as a WCB artiste. It took him more than five months for him to be acknowledged by WCB.

Cars
The artist was gifted a brand new Toyota Harrier by Wasafi records in 2018. Diamond said of the gift:

“@Mbosso trust me you deserve that Khan. Asie fanya kazi na asile… Trust me they deserve that!!! #WCB4LIFE @Mbosso_ @iamlavalava.’’
