MCA Tricky was born to Mr. Peter and Ann Ndavi in Makueni, a region known for its rich cultural heritage.

Growing up in a modest household with two elder brothers, he experienced firsthand the challenges his family faced due to limited financial resources.

At the age of 12, MCA Tricky made a life-altering decision to accompany his peers to Nairobi in search of better opportunities.

This move exposed him to the harsh realities of street life. Struggling to survive, he took up odd jobs, including working as an errand boy to ferry vegetables and commodities from Gikomba market.

Although faced with adversity, the funny man strong determination to assist his family led him to work even harder, striving to avoid burdening his parents with financial demands.

During his time on the streets, he endured various hardships.

He sought shelter in the homes of kind-hearted individuals, moving from one place to another.

Ultimately, he found himself living in Nairobi’s Saika Estate along Kangundo Road, where he resided for over three years.

Career

MCA Tricky’s life-changing moment came when he joined the Barikiwa Set Book Group, a pivotal point that set him on the path to comedic stardom.

The group nurtured his comedic talent, providing a platform for him to explore his humor and storytelling abilities.

Thus marked the turning point in his life and career, as he discovered his passion for making people laugh.

His big break came when he accompanied a friend to a Churchill Show audition, never expecting to participate himself.

To his surprise, he was encouraged to perform on the spot. His natural comedic flair and relatable storytelling resonated with the audience and judges, earning him a spot on the show.

This debut on Churchill Show in 2016 catapulted MCA Tricky to fame, making him an instant favorite among Kenyan viewers.

Since then, MCA Tricky’s star has continued to rise.

The comedian spent nearly two years working at Radio Maisha, co-hosting the Maisha Asubuhi show alongside Billy Miya for an extended period.

However, he made a recent move and decided to join Milele FM, where he now collaborates with Alex Mwakideu.
