Politician Millicent Omanga has hit out Governor Johnson Sakaja.
In a hard-hitting post on X, Omanga claims that the Nairobi governor has closed her businesses and has resorted to intimidating her.
She claims county askaris were sent to close her businesses despite having the requisite licenses.
“Gov Sakaja has sent county askaris to close down my businesses in Nairobi despite my businesses operating with all the requisite licenses,” she posted.
Omanga said her comments on the Auditor-General’s report on Nairobi County had angered Sakaja.
“This illegal and unjustified action follows my comment on the Auditor General’s report on Nairobi County, which appears to have infuriated him,” she added.
The former nominated senator warned Sakaja to stay away from her businesses and vowed she would not be intimidated by him.
“I reject this bullying and political intimidation in the strongest terms possible and ask Sakaja to keep off my businesses. I remain steadfast and unbowed and affirm that I’ll not be silenced by such cowardly acts,” Omanga said.
In a report by Auditor General Nancy Gathungu, it was revealed that the Sakaja administration out of a legal list of 832 cases, Nairobi owes 11 advocates more than KSh 10 billion.
“Analysis of the revenue against the legal fees revealed that 11 advocates out of a legal list of 832 cases are owed a total of Sh10,741,451,631,” part of the report says.
