Gideon Moi has penned an emotional tribute to his late sister June Chebet Moi.

In a post on X, the Kenya African National Union (KANU) National Chairman described his sister June as a charming, humble and affable soul.

Gideon Moi said they cherish the moments shared as family and siblings.

“Our beloved sister June Moi was a humble, charming and affable soul. We cherish the moments we shared as a family and siblings. We pray that the Almighty Lord rests her soul in peace,” he posted.

The younger Moi also welcomed and thanked leaders led by Kalonzo Musyoka who came to mourn their sister June.

“I am grateful to H.E Kalonzo Musyoka, Hon. Eugene Wamalwa, Hon. Wycliffe Oparanya, Hon. Mwangi Wa Iria and Hon. David Pkosing for condoling with us at Kabarnet Gardens, Nairobi,” he said.

Earlier WoK broke the news of June Moi’s death on Thursday, April 11 with reports that she had breathing complications.

June died at the age of 60 and lived a quiet life and focused on running her businesses and land agency.

She was former President Daniel arap Moi’s last-born daughter and one of his favourite children.

In the 1992 and 1997 General Elections June was involved in her father’s political campaigns.
