Controversial content creator Mulamwah has admitted that he began pursuing his wife Ruth K while his ex-girlfriend Carol Sonnie was still pregnant with their daughter Keilah.
The comedian who has been making headlines over his relationships with the two ladies came clean about his partnership with Ruth K, stating that he approached her because he was seeking solace and companionship as he had already broken up with Sonnie.
The comedian highlighted the difficulties of managing his career without a supportive partner, expressing concern that it might result in a downward spiral.
Mulamwah defended Ruth stating that she declined his advances as she was aware of Sonnie’s pregnancy but eventually he wore her defences down.
“We had already broken up. During that period, I felt very lonely and thought I would lose myself. When you are creative and without a girlfriend, you end up having new girlfriends every day and wasting your life. That’s why I started looking for another option. I even told Ruth K that if she turned me down, I would have another girlfriend. But she wasn’t accepting because she saw Carol was pregnant, and that’s why I love her to date,” he explained.
After their relationship became public, Ruth fell victim to online bullies who called her a home wrecker, calling her out for allegedly snatching Mulamwah away from Sonnie and her newborn.
“Things have never been easy for me. The negativity, the trolling. From the first time Baba Kalamwah posted me, I was called a husband snatcher, fake nyash… It has been tough. Internet life was not for me. I prefer a peaceful life. According to what I knew, they were not together,” the mother of one said.
Sonnie however has a different view on the situation. In a previous interview, she revealed that she was taken aback by the breakup, stating she didn’t learn about the relationship’s end until several months after their daughter’s birth.
The couple is now extending an olive branch to Sonnie, seeking peace and amicable co-existence while they parent their children. Ruth even suggested that Carol visit her YouTube channel for a vlog to address their issues positively so that the children could forge a loving sibling relationship.
Mulamwah also noted that Ruth K has actively tried to connect with Keilah, including buying clothes for her that have now become too small due to the lack of visits. He expressed a desire for Keilah to visit them, stressing that Ruth has always been welcoming and never discriminated her.
