Nila Baby Shop CEO Remembers Company’s Humbe Start, Praises God

Norah Muendo the CEO of Nila Baby Shop has shared throwback photos of the humble beginnings of the baby shop.

She also thanked her customers for their loyalty and support.

In the photos, she shared Muendo showed the simple shop and second-hand baby clothes she was selling.

The shop also had a simple design with a basic signpost.

Currently, Nila Baby Shop has branches in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret and Meru.

Muendo also praised God for the blessings through the years.

“This is us in 2018. We can only thank God for the growth,”

The fifth branch was opened in a grand ceremony spearheaded by the CEO, Norah Muendo, and her team on Saturday, May 4.

Norah officially unveiled the new shop in Meru in a video that was shared on the company’s Instagram page.

In an interview, Norah said was inspired to get into business in 2018 after having a difficult time finding baby clothes when she was pregnant.

With the support of her husband, Norah got her initial stock from the Gikomba market but she ended up using most of it on her daughter.

“I didn’t make much out of the initial Ksh 14,000 stock, I kinda gave up but my husband gave me another money that could help get another stock,” she said.
