Kaso Dairy Farm
After bagging the Ksh300,000 cash prize in Athens, Paul Kipsiele Koech fulfilled his family’s long-running dream of owning quality dairy cows to satisfy their demand for milk and also generate revenue.
Initially, he purchased three cows that produced 20 litres of milk which was enough to feed the family and also sell to neighbours.
“I spent Ksh75,000 to purchase the cows and for the first time, my family had enough milk to drink and a little to spare,” Koech told The Standard.
This motivated him to grow his herd and pivot towards quality dairy breeds to increase milk production and grow revenue.
From the three cows, Kaso Dairy Farm located in Kachepkoro in Sotik, Bomet County has grown into one of the largest and most profitable dairy ventures in the region, raking Koech over Ksh300,000 per month in revenue.
