Peter Mukabi Biography, Age, Background, Education, Marriage And Career

Peter Mukabi is a radio personality who has worked in a number of media houses in Kenya. He is known for his popular Rhumba and Zilizopendwa show aired on Sasa Radio.

Age

Mukabi was born on September 23, 1986 in Endebess. 

Background

The radio presenter is the son of the late Gilbert Otiala and Sarah Omwangala. He is the second last born in a family of 8 children. 

Education

He was a pupil at Endebess Primary school where he sat for his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination. Mukabi went on to join Manorhouse High school for his O-levels. In 2005, he joined the East Africa school of journalism and broadcasting. The Sasa radio presenter had a difficult childhood as his family was very poor. He never imagined that he would finish primary school, leave alone high school. He hawked groundnuts after classes to atleast support himself. 

”I didn’t give up because I believed that one day I will be somewhere broadcasting and that’s what kept me going”, he told this writer.

Marriage

Mukabi tied the knot to the love of his life Sylvia Ndinyo in 2011. His wife, a media practitioner, works at Khetias Drapers ltd. The couple is blessed with four children.  

Career

The media personality has had an illustrious career spanning over 14 years. His debut in the media world started in 2006 when he joined Imani FM, a Christian based station in Kitale. A year later, he joined Kenya Seed Company in the marketing department where he worked as a DJ.

Radio Sahara-2013

Nyota FM-2013-2018

He currently hosts the popular SasaXpress show on Sasa Radio and works at TV Magharibi. 

The station is under the able stewardship of comedian James Chanji popularly known as Mshamba Zebedayo.
