In July 2021, Churchill Show comedian and events host Oliver Otieno, alias YY took to social media to flaunt a house that he built for his mother.

Taking to Facebook, the comic unveiled the house he has been constructing for his mum.

YY also shared a photo showing his mother seated on a chair without cushions inside a house built with iron sheets and with a mud floor.

In the first photo, the comic’s mother sat on a one-seater wooden chair, without cushions, just to show the level of poverty they were facing at the time.

The five-bedroom house sits at the corners of their compound with its stunning exterior outstanding.

The walls are painted cream and white complimenting its dark grey iron sheets.

The comedian who has on numerous occasions narrated the kind of life he grew up in and the struggles he faced.

For instance in 2018, YY opened up on his childhood and the troubling relationship he had with his late father.

Speaking in an interview with Massawe Jappani, the Homa Bay born funny bone disclosed that his father was abusive.

He narrated that his father used to assault his mother, especially after indulging alcohol and as the first child, he always tried to help his helpless mother.
