Moi University, one of Kenya’s premier institutions of higher learning, is currently navigating a turbulent landscape marked by a temporary closure that has left students and faculty in disarray.

The decision to suspend academic activities was prompted by escalating protests over unresolved issues, including delayed salaries and deteriorating working conditions.

At the helm of this institution during these trying times is Vice Chancellor Isaac Kosgey, who is tasked with steering the university through its challenges.

Educational background

Kosgey holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Animal Sciences and a Master of Science in Animal Sciences with Distinction, both obtained from Wageningen University in the Netherlands.
