Rayvanny Explains Why He Torched His KSh 1.5 Million House

Bongo star Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa alias Rayvanny has disclosed that he deliberately burnt down his house.

In an update on Instagram, the singer said he burnt the KSh 1.5 million house to create a reality experience in his latest music video.

Towards the end of his new song dubbed I Miss You featuring Zuchu, Rayvanny could be seen pouring liquid inside the house before setting it on fire.

In the same video, the singer is seen receiving treatment inside an ambulance while his house was burnt down.

“This is art and we must accord it the respect it deserves such that even when the West see our art style they agree that in Tanzania there are serious people

“It’s like movies in the West, they use billions but return more billions. So there is nothing I have destroyed,” Rayvanny wrote.

Rayvanny argued that the video was the most expensive one that has ever been done in Tanzania.

“I’m not sure if there is any other video shot in Tanzania that cost more money than this. A lot of money was use

“I have never seen any kind of a video shoot in Tanzania. All participants did a good job,” he said.

The musicians who is signed under Diamond Platnumz’s record label, Wasafi Records, said it took him three months to come up with the house.

“It was my dream to make everything as real as possible during the video shoot. I said I will build a house and then set it on fire and my team thought I was crazy

“But we did and we burnt it down all of it to make the video shoot look real,” Rayvanny said.
