Over the past year, the 29-year-old has amassed a significant income, securing numerous victories on the track and becoming one of Kenya’s highest-paid athletes through lucrative endorsement deals.

With the big paychecks comes the urge to splurge, but Omanyala has already set his sights on securing his future, taking on major projects such as the construction of a mansion for his family.

“2024 was a good year for me financially,” Omanyala told a local publication.

“Financially, I have been quite successful after having so much support which has allowed me to achieve some good milestones in life like building a house,” added the father of two.

Omanyala is constructing a seven-bedroom house in Ruiru, Kiambu county which he estimates will cost him Ksh50 million.

In December last year, Omanyala shared a video clip on his social media platforms of the mega project, which features a flatroof design, with a modern exterior with a minimalist design, marked by clean, sharp lines and a boxy, contemporary silhouette.

The mansion also boasts large floor-to-ceiling windows that create a seamless connection between the interior and exterior for openess, and are installed for their natural lighting benefits.

Omanyala’s mansion also feature visible balconies and multiple floors with a railing and a terrace.

The compound adorns an aesthetic arrangement of cabro tiles, enhancing the appearance of his property.

The trackstar is a brand ambassador for various renowned organizations, and their deals have contributed heavily to the athlete’s earnings.

He has a partnership with the global sportswear brand Adidas, which was recently extended through 2028. Additionally, he serves as the brand ambassador for CFAO Motors Kenya Limited (formerly Toyota Kenya), promoting the Hilux Double Cabin, and has partnerships with Visa and Oppo Kenya.

Omanyala has also signed deals with gaming company Odibets, Absa Kenya, and EABL’s Tusker that offered him a Ksh 5 million boost just before the Paris 2024 Olympics.

In addition to his brand deals, his primary motivation comes from the income generated by his running, a pursuit he trains for with unwavering dedication.

“I collected an appearance fee of Sh3.5 million in most of the races but the ABSA Kip Keino Classic was one of the best,” he added, revealing his desire to win a medal in the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo in September.

The singer who hosted a colourful house unveiling and warming party, celebrated his parents for their struggles in raising him and his siblings.

Charles Njagua Kanyi, popularly known as Jaguar was born in a family of three.

Comedian Osoro Cyprian is a happy man after the completion of a house he built for his father.

Osoro shared his joy on social media and celebrated the achievement.

Sharing photos and videos of the elegant house with a flat roof and large windows, the comedian said his father took the pictures of the house.

“We left home to change home! Project done! Dad took these pics and told me to be proud of me! May it inspire someone,” Osoro said.

Osoro built the house on his family’s land in Nyamira County, according to the comedian the large windows allow adequate light.

The comedian has previously shared the construction of the house and said the initial cost was over KSh 2.5 million.

Background and Education 

Born in Jerusalem, he attended Dr. Livingston Primary School before moving to Uchumi Day Academy. He then went to Gilgil High school before returning to Nairobi and taking up odd jobs. He worked at Ukwala Supermarket where he got the nickname GK.

Initially, he viewed YouTube as a music sharing app and nothing more. However, he slowly began putting out content on the platform in 2018. 

The person who was helping him shoot content was the same person responsible for TT comedian’s videos. One of the very first videos he did with TT was of him placing him at the edge of a motorcycle. 

When a concerned person asked why the kid was there he replied that they had just had a DNA test and he was not the father. 

At first, he did content speaking in various accents including Kikuyu but later decided to stick to the Luo accent. He realized those videos did well and stuck there.

One of the challenges he faced was growing his channel and getting collaboration with big time YouTubers in the country. However, he understood that people require you to grow to a certain level before they can work with you. In a previous interview on Jalang’o TV, he also recounted that he was in a race against poverty not in competition with anyone.

Cleophas Malala

Cleophas Malala is a renowned Kenyan politician who served as the senator for Kakamega county from 2017 to 2022 before he failed in his bid to become governor in the last general elections.

Apart from his home in Lurambi constituency, Kakamega county, the politician lives in a multi million mansion in Kitengela where he camps while in Nairobi. The mansion was first brought to the limelight in August 2020 after the DCI officers raided his home seeking to arrest him.

Mercy Kyallo recently renovated a beautiful 1970’s 5 bedroom bungalow, into a modern country style home which she nicknamed ‘The Yallo Residency.’ The house is located in Riara Ridge in Tigoni, just 40 minutes drive from the city. The house is located in a small neighbourhood that surrounded by large tea estates with rich history. The alluring landscape leaves a lasting impression. The neighbourhood has an altitude of 2,040 metres above sea level which means misty mornings and foggy afternoons are inevitable.

Inside Yallo Residency

The balcony has a sofa seat where you can relax with visitor or just lazy around while enjoying reading a book. The living room is simply astounding. It is painted light green on the with a beautiful art piece and a clock hanging the wall.

“I have decorated here with beautiful art pieces collected across the country during my travels and so it’s just a beautiful place to sit and look at anything,” she said during a house tour video that aired on her YouTube channel.

It has two green leather sofa seats and a huge flat screen television mounted on the wall. The magnificent chandelier lights up the space giving it a bright and beautiful look. Near the television is a small book shelf.

The Dining Area

Next to the living room is the dining area which has a theme of safari cum vintage theme. It has a rectangular wooden table with six beautiful chairs. Next to the dining table is a huge window that allows natural light to flow in giving it an outdoor feel. You can have your meal at the table while enjoying the spectacular view of the tea estates in the neighbourhood. On the wall is a beautiful mirror that makes the place look even more spacious. There is also an outdoor dining area where you can sit and enjoy a meal in the compound.

“And we definitely love to eat outside any chance we get to so that we can enjoy the sun and the beautiful environment,” she said.

The Bedrooms

The master bedroom has huge king size bed neatly covered with clean, floral beddings. The wall is painted cream with one side having a beautiful wallpaper that makes the room even more spectacular. In front of the bed is a huge window that directly allows natural light to flow in during the day. It comes with a bathroom which is Moroccan inspired with walls painted mustard yellow, roman style tiles and the brass coloured tub. The second bedroom is minimalist with a small bed and a beautiful wallpaper on the wall. A green natural plant is placed right next to the bed and a huge window overlooking the lush tea estates. The house has two guest bedrooms with large comfy beds that can accommodate up to six visitors.
